I’m not a believer in setting New Year’s resolutions for the simple reason that although most people start out with good intentions, they often do not follow through with them.

I also believe:

“What got you to where you are today, will not get you to where you want to be in the future”

“If you want something to change in your life, you are the only one who can make that happen.”

“Only you know what you truly want, regardless of the opinions, guilt or pressure put on you by others.”

So, what is your area of focus for 2018? Mine is health and wellness. I tend to have a lot of energy and lead an active life.  I’d like to maintain that and be healthy and fit for the next phase of my life.

Create A Plan

My plan includes:

Working out with my trainer Victoria from Victoria Rose Fitness. We have been together for two years, and she knows exactly how to target the areas of my body that I want to get in to shape. Our beliefs are aligned, and she has the expertise to help me reach my goals.

I am working with another incredible woman Frances Michaelson, a practical and dedicated Naturopath. I am completely revamping my eating habits to ensure I am healthy from the inside out. The program I have chosen is already working and I’ve just started.

Frances’ researched and proven health principles are available in her book “Let’s Practice Health.” It’s an excellent read with true stories of health transformation and includes tools and information to help you get healthy.

The third aspect of my health plan is my family. Spending time with my partner Hub, my kids and grandkids grounds me. It relaxes me and nourishes my soul.

The final component of my health and wellness plan is Sandra Time! This one is easy. It’s taking time to do what I love simply to have downtime. I will sit and watch TV or movies or read or play the piano.

Change Your Focus, Mindset, Habits and Priorities

There are other areas I’d like to change in my life. However, I want them to be doable. So, I have chosen just one to focus on – health and wellness. To do that, I have to change mindset, habits, and priorities. That’s plenty for me to focus on. All four components are inter-related, and they all contribute to my personal well-being.

I also know that when that part of my life is working well, everything else will be much easier. So, 2018 has arrived and I’m ready for it! I’m excited about the changes I am putting into place and those I have already started.
