So many changes………
Life is certainly full of changes and my own life has been no exception. I always like to reflect at the end of a year and 2019 has been full of emotion – excitement, happiness, sadness, and gratitude.
It was very sad to lose my beautiful German Shepherd – Hunter. He was 11 ½ and lived a full life – full of adventure and tons of love. Now I hold on to the many memories I have – always with a smile on my face.
Happiness and excitement – definitely! I got married in February to the kindest person I know –Hub Casselman. I am truly grateful to be with a man who is intelligent, handsome, family-oriented and is loved by everyone who knows him.
Life with Hub is filled with adventure – we take trips – big and small – looking for new places to explore. Our honeymoon to Australia and New Zealand was a spectacular experience.
I have wrapped up a 4-year contract with an incredible global client and made many new friends along the way. I am grateful for the experiences I had and the opportunity to continue to grow and learn.
I am now moving my business in a new direction that has been in the planning stages for the past 2 years. I am very excited about this next phase of my career and will share the details early in 2020.
There has been a lot of change for me and certainly for my clients. Together we have explored the power of our thoughts. They can propel us forward, they can paralyze us or frustrate us. We have all been there. I know it’s easier said than done, however, we do have the power to impact the outcome of these changes.
Every interpretation we have of our life’s experiences is completely our own. No one makes us ‘do’ anything or ‘feel’ anything – it’s all in our own thoughts. Yes, there are logical explanations and facts to be determined. We can interpret something from a negative perspective and spiral downwards into a darkness we have created. We can convince ourselves of the worst possible outcome. Or, we can choose to find the positive in any situation.
It’s all in how we think and how we choose to respond. I have chosen to look at 2020 with energy, excitement and lots of curiosity. I know what I want to have happened in my life – personally and professionally. It will be me who initiates and follows through on my plans.
My focus is on kindness (inspired by my husband), commitment (to follow through on what I set my mind to) and gratitude for all of the people in my life and the experiences I will have.
To all of you in the Connect With Sandra community, thank you for being on this journey with me, reading my stories and sharing your own.
I wish you all happy holidays and a new year that is filled with love, laughter, and fun new adventures.
